Itinerary:

Meet at Hawrelak Park picnic shelter no.2 for this hike - this is the picnic shelter at the SW corner of Hawlerak Park, nearest the Buena Vista footbridge. We will meet at 6:00pm for a 6:10 departure.

We will start by following the path on the east side of the river south towards Whitemud Park, passing the Whitemud Equine Centre (don't forget to say hello to the horses).

Once we reach the Whitemud Drive / Fox Drive area, we will join up with the trail up to Grandview Heights, enjoy the view from the top of the stairs, then walk down the stairs and return to Hawlerak Park via the way we came.

Please note the following:
1/ Dogs are also welcome on this hike - please remember to include your dog(s) when registering.
2/ I would like to maintain a brisk pace for this hike - approx 5km/h (so that we can have some sort of workout), and there are a number of steeper grades encountered, so this event is not suitable for "slowpokes".

To recognise me at the meeting point, I will be wearing a yellow EOC cap, and standing by a grey Hyundai wagon.
