Itinerary:
I figure what better place to hold hills and drills than in the Rocky mtns. So I was thinking we would do two day hikes with half to full packs. Take in some of the sights enjoy a few BEvERages in the evening .

We will be staying at the HI Nordegg Hostel Friday night Saturday and leave mid day Sunday.We will be staying in a co-ed dorm cabin. Bedding will be provided and sleeping bags are NOT permitted.

Each person will be responable for there own gear and food. If you would like to car pool I need your info ASAP when you can leave and where you are leaving from.

The hikes will likely range for 3-5 hours on Saturday and 2-3 max on Sunday.

Required Items to Bring:

- Overnight items
- Towel (for showers/hot tub)
- Food for entire weekend
- A waiver if you haven't yet signed one for 2007
- Hiking boots
- Weather appropiate clothing

- Fuzzy slippers (or other house shoes for in the dining hall)

- Earplugs (to protect you from nighttime evils such as party noises and snoring)

From Edmonton:
South on Hwy 2 until the Lacombe turn off Hwy 12
West on Hwy 12 until you come to Hwy 22
South on Hwy 22 until you come to Hwy 11
West on Hwy 11 until you come to Nordegg
The hostel is just west of Nordegg, 3 km north of Highway 11 on the Shunda Creek Recreation Area Road.
Keep left at the fork in the road.

Carpool Cost: The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $174.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Sunday, April 28, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.

Notes:

- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events.
