Itinerary:
We will meet at the parking lot in Walterdale Park by the tennis courts on the south side of the River Valley, between the High Level Bridge and the Kinsmen Sports Centre at 6.00pm for a 6.15pm departure.

We will head west along the River Valley trails through Emily Murphy Park and Hawrelak Park, crossing the River at the Hawrelak Foot Bridge.

Once across the foot bridge, we will continue along the north side of the River, including the gradual climb to Summit Drive. Once we reach 142 Street we will enter the McKinnon Ravine and return along the north side of the River as far as the Victoria Golf Course.

At the Golf Course we will divert onto Victoria Park Road and an “upper trail” as far as the stairs by the Royal Glenora club parking lot. From there, we will cross the River at the LRT bridge to return to the start point.

We may encounter muddy, rainy, snowy conditions, etc. – please dress accordingly.

We will be walking at a moderate pace. The hike is expected to take around 2.5 hours and cover 12 km.
For anyone who is interested, we can go for drinks after the hike if desired.
Dogs are permitted on this hike, however please note that you are expected to be responsible for your dog's behaviour, so please keep him/her in check and on a leash.

Also, as a reminder, if you are thinking of bringing a dog along, please see point 7 of the EOC rules.
