Come and check out this natural area located a short distance to the west of Edmonton!

The Clifford E Lee Nature Sanctuary is located off Hwy 60 near Devon. Details below:

We will spend up to 2 hours or so at Clifford E Lee.

Afterwards we can return to Edmonton for snacks/refreshments if desired.

TRAVEL DETAILS
There will be a carpool on offer - leaving from the overflow parking lot north of the WEM, on the north side of 90 Avenue, east of 175 Street.
Look for me with my yellow EOC baseball cap and standing by a grey Hyundai Elantra.

For those meeting at the carpool, meet at 12:30 for an 12:40 departure. We need to leave by 12:40 - please be on time.
Note that the carpool location is on the opposite side of the WEM from the transit centre, so please allow at least 15 mins between arriving at the transit centre and getting to the carpool!

For those meeting at Clifford E Lee, WEM to Clifford E Lee is approx 30 mins driving time so please be there by 1:15pm, as the carpoolers should be arriving around that time.

The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $14.50 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Wednesday, June 25, 2025). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.
