We'll meet at the parking lot to the west of the intersection of Groat Rd and River Valley Rd. at 3:30 PM for a 3:45 sharp departure.

I'll bring my maps and we'll choose our route together. We'll probably head east for a while along the river, but we'll play it by ear and see what happens. Regardless, this will be an easy pace and easy ride - we'll try to avoid those killer hills on this one. We'll ride out for about 10km and back for about 10km for a total of about 20km.

Required Items to Bring:
Helmet. No helmet no ride no exceptions.
A bike, any bike will do (as long as it's in decent repair).

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Water, basic bike repair kit, appropriate clothing and footwear.

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

From Westmount - south on Groat Rd, take the right lane for River Valley Rd, turn right into the parking lot before you go under the Groat bridge.

From U of A - north on Groat, cross the bridge, exit right, right again, under the bridge then left into the parking lot.

From River Valley Rd - west under Groat bridge then left into the parking lot.

Look for Rhonda with the bicycle decorated with lovely colored pipe cleaners on the spokes of her bicycle.
