Our instructor, Loretta has many years of working with people and horses and will supply all that you need except your boots, helmet and comfortable clothes. The riding centre is 20 minutes from Sherwood Park on Highway 21 south. It is called the Good News Riding Centre and has a closed in but unheated arena that we will learn the basics and some more advanced skills in as we progess. She also has a large treed lot with trails so we can get out and do some trails as well.
There is a rider size restriction as the gentle horses are smaller. You must be under 6 feet and under 200 pounds. You need not attend every week but you are encouraged to try. The group must be small as there may be new people attending as well as those that are experienced.

Required Items to Bring:
- boots with heels- no running shoes but rubber boots with heels suffice
- a snug fitting helmet, a bike helmet will do but it must not be loose to pass insurance requirements
