Itinerary:
Spend your Friday evening checking out the fantastic Ice on Whyte Festival! Ice on Whyte is held every year in Old Strathcona, and is on this year from the 14th-24th of January. We will be checking it out on the second evening of the festival, and have a chance to view some magnificent sculptures while the carving process is in action. Besides the ice sculpting, there may also be an ice castle and an ice slide for us to look at and play on. Fingers crossed!

After checking out the sculptures, we can grab some refreshments at the Van Houtte Cafe (a heated tent on the Ice on Whyte festival grounds). Until 9 PM, they will even have some karaoke! (... but it will probably take a lot of coercion to get me to sing!)

We will meet up at the Second Cup location at Whyte Avenue and 104 Street at 6:45 PM, then make our way to the festival (leaving no later than 7 PM.)
