Itinerary:
Carpools will depart at 8 am for Siffleur Falls (62 km west of Nordegg in David Thompson Country), arriving at the staging area around 12 pm. After a quick lunch we will backpack the 7 km into the backcountry. There are 3 waterfalls to see, and hopefully lots of fall colours in the trees. The elevation gain is minimal (126 m), but there is no established camp sites so we will need to carry water filters and be comfortable with no trace, backcountry camping. Sunday we will hike out to the cars, and return to Edmonton.
This is a fairly easy backpacking trip, but there are some steep slopes along the way, so you must be comfortable with a full pack.
I will try and pair people up for cooking and sleeping, so it is not necessary for everyone to carry both a tent and cooking equipment. Please let me know if you have any preferences, or need to share equipment when you sign up.

Required Items to Bring:
backpack, tent, sleeping bag, pots, stove, food, clothing for any weather, bear spray.
