Itinerary:
Shakespeare in the Park is back for another season! The plays are presented with a modern twist. For this night, we are going to see "Titus Andronicus": Titus Andronicus, celebrated Roman General, returns home after ten years of fighting the Goths. He has captured Tamora, Queen of the Goths; her sons Alarbus, Chiron and Demetrius; and her lover, Aaron the Moor. To appease the gods and exact retribution from the Goths for the deaths of his sons, Titus executes Alarbus, and sets in motion a cycle of revenge that threatens to erode his sanity, his family and the entire Empire. Shakespeare's Titus Andronicus challenges its audience to bear witness to barbarism and vengeance. In a post-modern world created by Director Marianne Copithorne, Titus blurs the line between justice and retribution, asking if humanity is born of pure heart or profound hate.

For more information, go to their website.

Tickets are available from Tix on the Square or you can buy them at the park. Single admission adult tickets cost $20, although passes for both shows shown during the festival (Titus Andronicus and Comedy of Errors) can be purchased for $30. You are responsible for your own ticket, and tickets are first come first served. The show starts at 8PM, but the line up starts way before that. Even at 7, it'll be busy. Therefore, it is HIGHLY recommended that you have a cell phone for this event to make meeting up easier. I will be in line at 7 and wearing my yellow EOC Coordinator hat so try and find me or call/text me. Note that the shows run rain or shine under the Hawrelak Amphitheatre. Please contact me by email if you have any questions about the show, tickets, location, etc.
