Enjoy a moderate paced day hike of the Islet Lake area of Cooking Lake - Blackfoot Provincial Park.

We will hike approximately 13-16km, depending on the group and the weather. The terrain is varied between flat sections with some hills.

Please bring a lunch for this trip - we will be stopping at a picnic shelter on the trail for about 20-30 minutes.

The approximate duration mentioned above includes the travel time to get there as well as a lunch break.

Note: I have NOT done this hike before so please be patient!

Check out the Trail Map for more info.

If you have somewhere to be by mid afternoon, please do not sign up for this event as we might be later than expected.

Please note that we will be meeting up at the carpool location at Bonnie Doon Mall at 10:00 AM & leaving there at 10:10 AM SHARP! My intention is to arrive at Islet Lake around 11:00 AM.
