Itinerary:

Spring has finally arrived! It’s time to haul out the bicycle and hit the trails!

For some of us, this would be the first time we looked or even though about our bicycles since last summer. We all know how frustrating it is to have a breakdown on the trail, especially if we are with others! We need to tune-up our bikes before we tune-up our muscles!

Come with your bike, tools and other materials (if you have them), and some water for the bike ride afterward.

There will be someone to help you with your bicycle repairs. This is intended to be a learning experience for you and it is definitely HANDS-ON. Be prepared to get your hands dirty. The Bonnie Doon pool is across the street to wash our hands.

Afterward, we will wash up and go for a leisurely ride in Mill Creek and the river valley. (Will proceed west on 88 avenue for about 10 blocks to École Maurice Lavallée where 88 avenue comes to a dead-end and steps go down into the ravine. We will have to cross two busy roads, which are both pedestrian controlled intersections.)

Note that the coordinator is not a certified bike repair expert, but have years of experience and will try their best to help you out. This event is geared towards mountain bikes.

For those wishing to join us for the ride only, you may come at 1:30PM sharp. Please indicate if this is the case in the notes when you register.
