Itinerary:
UPDATED: So it turns out for this opening night, their $20 per car entrance fee applies. Since we're arriving on foot, they said it'll apply to our group ($20 for our group). Not sure how they'll be collecting it and where, but please bring a loonie or toonie and contribute to the group entrance fee!

Although we’re experiencing a mostly snow-free November, it is high time we started getting into the holiday spirit. What better way than to take a stroll on the opening night of Epcor BrightNights 2008? BrightNights is Canada’s largest drive-through (or, in our case “walk-through”) Christmas Lights theme Park with over 600 animated and static displays (some over 40 ft. tall!)

Opening night is the only night during the festival (which runs from November 21 until January 4th) that the park is devoted to pedestrians only. This means no waiting, no danger of being run over, and best of all – no exhaust!

We will meet at the big picnic shelter at Emily Murphy Park (Site #1). There will be limited parking in the park and public transit is recommended. From Emily Murphy, we will walk to Hawrelak Park.

Depending on the group’s preference, we can meet up at a coffee shop on Whyte Ave after the event to enjoy a warming cup of hot chocolate.

Please bring a non-perishable food item for the food bank!
