Snow Valley is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1961 and is located just off the Whitemud Freeway on 119 Street, at the south end of Whitemud Park. Obviously, a ski hill located in the middle of Edmonton couldn't even possibly compare to anything found in the mountains, but it's still a good place to go if you want to ski or snowboard for a couple of hours. The cost for a lift pass for the evening is only is $10 + GST and if you need rental equipment this will be $10 + GST for alpine ski equipment, or $17 + GST for snowboard equipment.

You will be required to sign a Snow Valley waiver form on arrival.

Please note: Obviously, this event will have to be canceled if there is insufficient snow. However, Snow Valley does use snow-making equipment, and tends to open up before large amounts of snow cover the ground in other parts of the city. UPDATE: Snow Valley has announced that they will be opening for the season on November 28th.

Required Items to Bring:

Alpine ski/snowboard OR $10 for rental alpine ski equipment or $17 for snowboard equipment
Warm winter clothing including hat & gloves.

Snow Valley is located in Whitemud Park. From Whitemud Drive, exit south on 119 St. Immediately turn right at the Whitemud Park sign, and follow the road to the Snow Valley parking lot (located on the north side of Whitemud Drive).
