Itinerary:

The documentary film Murphy's Law will have an exclusive screening in Edmonton on October 14th. The filmmaker will be on hand for the screening, and a Q&A will follow the film. To find me, I'll be waiting in the lobby just past the cashier and wearing my royal blue EOC baseball cap.

Here is a little more info about the film:

On the eve of her 35th birthday, Megan moved back into her childhood home. For the first time in her life, she was alone; both of her parents are dead. In cleaning out her parents’ belongings, she found her father’s journal, long believed lost in a fire. It chronicled his 1973 solo bike journey through Ireland when he was just 26 years old. Struggling with her own grief and broken heart, she decided to take her father’s journal and his original 1973 red Peugeot and return to the land of her ancestors. Will retracing her father’s journey help her to find her own way forward? To see the film's trailer, click here.

Megan Murphy has had an interesting and varied career in the performing arts for over two decades. Since graduating from York University’s Fine Arts program, she has worked as an actor in both the Peterborough and Toronto, Ontario, film, television and theatre scenes. She is currently a morning show co-host on two Peterborough radio stations, 93.3 MyFM and 107.9 Classic Rock and an afternoon drive co-host on Oldies 96.7. Megan received the TD Canada Trust Scholarship for Outstanding Community Leadership in 1998. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory Program and of the Documentary Filmmaking Institute at Seneca College. Her short film, Shelf Life, won an audience choice award at the Peterborough ReFrame International Film Festival. Murphy’s Law is her first feature film and was honoured with the award for Best Documentary at the Fingal Film Festival in Ireland in 2016.
