Itinerary:
Ever wanted to shoot a friend? Someone you hardly know? Me? Well now is your chance!!

Paintballs were originally invented in the 50s for the forestry service to mark trees. It wasn't till the mid 70s when someone thought of the concept it is today to bring out the predator and prey in all of us!

Young Guns Paintball offers 14 different paintball fields each requiring unique strategies to tag your opponents. Some include:

Desert Storm: Jump in the trenches and dive behind the dunes for cover. Rush across the bridge and go out in a blaze of gelatin glory!

Boarder Town: A taste of urban fire exchange to capture the flag while dodging in, out and between buildings.

Police Raid: A crook and robber scenario with one team holed up in an abandoned building and the other attacking from behind the cover of cars. My favorite!

The package includes 3 hours of play time. We will rotate through several fields, and may break up into smaller groups depdending on the field/group size.

Long sleeve full body overalls will be provided with the cost of rental. However, it is recommended you wear gloves. Choose your shoes wisely as well since the play fields will be on all manner of terrain. Paints are vegetable oil or gelatin based, and should washout, but I wouldn't suggest donning your Sunday best. I also recommend layers. Even if it's cold, running around in coveralls gets pretty warm.

Bring a funny hat! We'll all look the same in masks and coveralls, so bring something distinctive! A hat will also help keep the back of your head padded, since it is not covered by the face mask.

Important: For those not familiar with paintball, some of the hits you take *will* hurt, and you may get bruised. Impact of the rounds hurt even if you're wearing the coveralls. The back of your head will not be protected by the mask. While the paintballs won't pierce skin, it does hurt more if you get hit back there (I have! Ouch!). So please bring a hat to add padding, or a helmet. Note that because of the mask design, most helmets (snowboarding helmets for example) will not fit. There are dedicated paintball helmets, but not for rental. So if you are concerned, DO NOT SIGN UP. Therefore, I have put 'moderate' as the difficulty.

Please allow yourself adequate time to find the Young Guns Paintball facility and take their phone number with you in case you need last minute directions (945-3958 or 963-5233). When we arrive, we will start with a safety demo and instruction by the staff before we begin.
