Itinerary:
Earth Hour is a global symbolic gesture to raise awareness about climate change. People in cities across the globe have been asked to turn their lights off between 8:30PM and 9:30PM on March 19th, in order to show their support for this cause.

For our celebration of Earth Hour, we will take a short, hike in the river valley. After our hike, we will sit around a campfire, having a picnic at Emily Murphy Park.

We will be meet at the parking lot next to the Groat Road Bridge. Our hike will take us west from Emily Murphy Park to Hawrelak Park. After a short rest at the Buena Vista Footbridge, we will head back to to Emily Murphy Park and return to our chosen picnic site.

Once we return to Emily Murphy Park, we will scout out a spot for our picnic and campfire (there are about 30 potential spots within the park, which are available on a first-come basis).
