Itinerary:
Terwillegar park is a favorite among dog owners, but is no less fun for those without dogs. It's one of the city's largest parks, and boasts wooded areas, river front scenery and countless miles of trails.

The hike includes some uphills and downhills. The trail conditions are a mix of hard packed snow, ice, mud and some gravel. Waterproof, winter footwear is advised. There will also be some bushwacking involved, so don't bring your best coat. This is an off leash park, but bring bags to scoop up your animal's droppings.

Some people find it difficult to find the park. Please allow yourself enough time to find it and keep our phone numbers with you.
Please note that the ONLY toilet at site is no longer usable.

Required Items to Bring:
Weather-appropriate clothing (toques, gloves, etc.), appropriate footwear, bags for your pet's droppings
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
water, dog, snacks

How to Get There:
Event Directions:The park is located at the very west end of Rabbit Hill road, off Terwillegar Drive. For those coming from Whitemud Drive, take the Terwillegar exit, turn right at Rabbit Hill Road and go all the way to the end. It will turn into a gravel hill. At the bottom of the hill will be the park's parking lot. We will meet at the west end of the parking lot, just past the no longer functional portalet.
Ignore location of arrow on map, apparently Google maps doesn't recognize where Terwillegar Park is. It's that big green area at the end of Rabbit Hill Rd.
