Itinerary:
Norman Lake is a beautiful trip. But make no mistake it is a difficult backpacking trip. We hike up over 700 M of switchback trails.

Along the trails we can stop and explore the magnificent water falls.

We will meet on Thursday June 30 at Two O'clock Creek camp ground. This site is first come first serve and you will pay the campground hosts directly.

Friday July 1 we will drive in tandem to the Norman Lake trail head in Banff National Park. Make sure you have a park pass. Once we reach the campsite we will set up camp and have lunch. The afternoon we will explore the meadows and the area.

Saturday July 2 we will hike to sunset pass and depending on the weather and time, we will hike down to Pinto Lake.

Sunday July 3 we will head back to our cars and back to Edmonton.

About two weeks prior to the event we will have a meet and greet to arrange tent and cooking partners,car pool arrangements and to discuss other logistics.

PLEASE READ :

If you are interested in this trip you will first sign up on the wait list. The event coordinator will contact you to get an idea of your experience and ability.

You MUST participate in a minimum of two backpack conditioning hikes, one must be with me.

On one of the conditioning hikes you MUST demonstrate you can pack a distance with a full pack

Priority for participating on this trip will be fitness level, i.e. demonstrated ability to hike with a full back, experience in backpacking, this is NOT for the beginner and payment.


- Registration is NOT COMPLETE until you've signed up and paid by the registration cut off date. The money must be in the EOC's possession by that date. No exceptions.
- When a minimum group size appears, this is to let you know that the event will be cancelled with refunds to those who have already paid, if the minimum number of registered participants is not met. For any events where EOC needs a minimum number of participants, there will be absolutely no refunds of money if you cancel.
- We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines at all times while participating in EOC events.
