Itinerary:
We will meet at Dawson Park at 10:30 AM, leaving by 10:40 at the latest. We will first hike east along the river until the trail intersects with a trail that leads into Kinnaird Ravine. We will then follow the trail through the ravine (along Rat Creek) until we reach the end of the trail at a set of stairs below 82 Street. Depending on timing, we may either climb the stairs and follow Jasper Avenue back until we reach another set of stairs that will bring us back down to Dawson Park, or return the way we came (the longer route - approximately 6.5 km return).

Dogs are welcome on this hike: dog owners - please remember to register your dog too. Dogs must be leashed when necessary.

About 60 murals were recently installed in Kinnaird Ravine, and we will get a chance to have a look at them as we complete this hike. Accordingly, this will be a slower paced hike, as I'm sure that lots of people will want to take take a look at this artwork. For more info about the mural project, please check out this CBC News article about them.
