Itinerary:
Join us for a 2 hour hike at the Strathcona Wilderness Center and After the hike we will eat lunch and then hop into our vehicles, convoy style, for the 20 minute drive to Carr Wine Estate where we will enjoy a 60-90 minute tour and wine tasting. This is a small cottage industry winery on a working farm. It's not too fancy but quaint. There will be a walking tour of the vineyard and farm followed by a sampling of their 2 signature fruit wines for tasting and purchase. ✳️ This is not a split event, and you must attend both portions of the day.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:The Strathcona Wilderness Center is located 20 minutes east of Sherwood Park on Township Road 530 (Baseline Road) & south on Range Road 212. We will convoy from SWC to Barr Estates To get there coming from the carpool location at Bonnie Doon Mall: go east along Whyte Avenue (82nd Ave) which turns into Sherwood Park Freeway then Wye Road. Turn north (left) at Highway 21, then east (right) on Township Road 530. Turn south (right) on Range Road 212 for 1km. To get there coming from Yellowhead Trail(Hwy #16): travel east on hwy 16, turn south (right) at Range Road 212, & go about 3.2km & cross Township Road 530 & it's about 1km into the parking lot. Carpool Cost: The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $23.20 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Tuesday, April 23, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.

Notes:
Dress for the weather as we will go rain or shine. Note that this is an active running farm so there are animals, hay, etc throughout the area, in case anyone has allergy concerns.
