Itinerary:

Meet at the small parking lot next to the main parking lot for the Edmonton Valley Zoo, located at the eastern end of Buena Vista Road.
You can access Buena Vista Road via the traffic circle at 87 Avenue / 142 Street in the West End.

**Note that as from July 1st, the bridge on 102 Avenue over Groat Road (by the Royal Alberta Museum) will be closed long-term for bridge replacement works. Allow additional time to get to the West End**

**Also, Groat Road between River Valley Road and 107 Avenue will be closed this weekend**

We will meet at 11:00 am for a 11:10 start.
I will be standing by a grey Hyundai wagon and wearing a yellow EOC cap so you can recognise me.

This will be a moderate-brisk hike.

We will head north from Buena Vista Road through the doggie park and head up Melton Ravine, work our way around the very plush Valleyview Drive area (great views over Edmonton!), cross 142 Street and access MacKenzie Ravine, before returning via the River Valley.

Please note the following:
1/ Event duration is estimated at 2.5 hrs approx.
2/ The hike will be at a brisk pace - up to 5km/h.
3/ Dogs are welcome on this hike, please include them when you sign up.

I strongly recommend you bring ice grips / traction devices and/or walking poles, as it may be slippy underfoot in some parts.
