Itinerary:
This is a back pack conditioning hike, it is more difficult than an urban hike. It is also the prerequisite meeting to the May long weekend back pack to Siffleur Falls

The meeting will follow the hike. If you are not going to Siffleur falls, you need not stay for the meeting but you are are welcome to join us for a tasty beverage at Uncle Glenn's afterwards.

By now you should have completed several conditioning hikes and are ready to meet to discuss car-pools, partnering, equipment sharing and essentials

We will meet in the parking lot at 156th Street and 77A Ave in Front of Uncle Glen's Sport bar which will be our meeting place. Please be there for 6:15PM for registration and leaving at 6:30PM. for the hike.
We could encounter a variety of conditions, dress accordingly. We will start with our hike by heading through the residential area and aim for the pedway across the Whitemud near the Quesnel bridge. We'll cross the bridge and go around past Fort Edmonton to the new Fort Edmonton Foot bridge. We will cross the bridge and encounter a 200 step staircase that we will do two times. Then we will proceed on through Patricia ravine back to our cars.
The event should be about one - one and a half hours long.
Be sure to bring water and if need be, trail mix, power bars, to keep hydrated and energized during the hike. Also pen and paper for the meeting afterwards. You need not stay for the meeting if you are just along for the hike.
event may be cancelled if the weather is inclement. Please check your emails the day of the event. Thanks.
