The Saturday Night Lake Loop trail is 27.4km with an elevation gain of 540 m (maximum elevation 1700 m.) Beginning and ending in the Jasper townsite, this route is all below timberline making it a good selection for early season trips.

We'll head out Friday night and stay in the Snaring River campground. Saturday morning will see us depart for the High Lakes campground via the east side of the loop. We'll camp overnight and complete the loop Sunday, traveling past Minnow Lake back to the Jasper townsite.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the trip, all participants must have some prior backcountry experience. Please include the date/location of your most recent hike in the notes section when you sign up.

To minimize the load everyone will carry, we will coordinate to share gear as necessary. You will be contacted by e-mail prior to the event for information about gear you are able to provide and what you need to share.
