The following is taken from the Metro Cinema website:-

Metro Cinema and the AGA, in conjunction with the exhibition 'Up North,' are proud to present a 35mm print of Peter Mettler's luminous cine-essay, Picture of Light, a powerful meditation on Canada's North.
Picture of Light is a hallucinatory tale which documents a filmmaker's journey to Canada's Arctic in search of the Northern Lights. While combining glimpses of the characters who live in this environment and the crew's both comic and absurd attempts to deal with the extremes, the film reflects upon the paradoxes involved in trying to capture the natural wonder of the Northern Lights on celluloid.
The majesty and mystery of the aurora borealis lead the film to a most unexpected and haunting finale which considers the future of our relationship to technology and nature, in an increasingly artificial world.

Admission: $10 for adults (note that AGA members get a $2 discount off their ticket price).

Meet inside the entrance of the Metro Cinema at 6:40pm, where we will buy our tickets and take our seats in time for the 7:00pm showing.
I will be wearing a very stylish yellow EOC baseball cap, so you can recognise me.
