The Calgary Zoo is truly a world-class facility, housing over 1100 animals. They host over a million visitors every year. Great event for the kids!

We will carpool down to Calgary, have an early lunch at 1130 at Pete's Drive In, and visit the Calgary Zoo!

I would like to maximize the efficiency of the carpool so we don't waste gas (hopefully 4/car). So please let me know your car preferences.

Head south on highway 2. As you get into Calgary, it turns into Deerfoot Trial. Turn right at Memorial Drive and follow the signs to the Calgary Zoo North Parking Lot and North Entrance.

The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $174.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Sunday, April 28, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.
