Itinerary:

Meet at Hawrelak Park picnic shelter no.2 for this hike - this is the picnic shelter at the SW corner of Hawlerak Park, nearest the Buena Vista footbridge. We will meet at 6:00pm for a 6:15pm departure.

We will start by following the path on the east side of the river south towards Whitemud Park, passing the Whitemud Equine Centre (don't forget to say hello to the horses).

Once we reach the Whitemud Drive / Quesnell Bridge area, we can do some exploring.
There are some trails between Fox Drive and Grandview Heights, as well as another one that leads up 142 Street / 60 Avenue in the Brookside area, so we will check these out.

Once we've done our exploring, we'll return to Hawlerak Park by the same route.

Although this hike is generally a "moderate" one, there are a couple of steeper sections along the way.
There is also a set of stairs that accesses the trails by Grandview Heights

To recognise me at the meeting point, I will either be wearing a yellow EOC cap, or you can check out my photo on the volunteer page:
