Itinerary:
Not quite ready for Roadside Bike Repair 101?
This event is intended for the beginner rider or the cyclist who isn't confident with their ability to handle roadside mechanical emergencies.
Learn the basic basics of roadside repair. I'll show you how to fix a flat tire, remount a derailed chain, adjust your brakes and cables. If you have questions I'll try to answer those too.
I'm not a bicycle mechanic. Everything I know about bike repair comes from hands-on experience. If your bike needs a repair or adjustment I'll point out what I think needs doing and tell you how I would handle it. YOU'LL DO THE WORK YOURSELF - it's the best way to learn.
After the chat/demo/adjustments are done we'll take a slow, leisurely ride (6 to 12 Km) along the river valley path system.
We'll aim to be back at the Kinsman lot by 9:00PM.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From Old Strathcona - Go north on 109 St and down to the bottom of the hill. Turn left into the Kinsman parking lot then immediately right and follow the road along the river. Park in the last lot before you go under the High Level Bridge.
I'll be on the grass next to the parking lot, wearing a yellow EOC ball cap. I've grown a beard since my volunteer picture was taken so I look a bit different.
