Do you want to do some backpacking trips this summer but don't know what type of backpack to purchase or how to properly pack one?

Mountain Equipment Co-Op staff will show and tell us about different types of packs and with what and how to pack them for backpacking trips.

Attend this session and learn how to pick and pack your backpack and soon you will be on your jolly way up and down the many backpacking trails in Alberta and elsewhere.

We'll meet just inside MEC's entrance at 7:25 p.m. and then make our way into the store for the presentation.

To help you identify me, I'll be wearing the yellow EOC ball cap and you can check out my photo on the volunteer page.

Required Items to Bring:
Cash for parking if you park in the Impark lot.

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Cash or plastic in case you want to buy something after the talk.
Reusable shopping bags for your purchases.

Easiest to find MEC by going to the corner of 124 street and 102 avenue.

Paid parking is available right outside of MEC at an Impark lot. If you're lucky, you might also find a metre which is free to park at after 6:00 p.m. or you might find parking on the streets around MEC. Be careful because residential parking is in effect in the surrounding neighbourhoods.
