Want to walk five kilometres that will make an impact on the other side of the world?

Welcome to the 27th annual World Partnership Walk. More than $60 million raised to date in the fight against global poverty. The Walk is an annual event to help raise awareness about and funds for global development efforts in Asia and Africa.

I am putting together a team, Global Guardians, for this year's Walk. At the moment, my team mainly consists of family members, including my five and six-year old nephews. I would love to have some EOCers join my team. This is a fantastic opportunity for each of us to do our part for global development efforts.

Your registration for this event is not completed Until you've also signed up at the WPW website.

You should automatically be added to the Global Guardians team, but if for some reason that doesn't work, I will follow-up with the Walk organizers to ensure your name is added to the team.

The Alberta Legislature Grounds are accessible by public transportation and there are bicycle racks. Impark lots and meters are also available.

I'll wear the yellow EOC ball cap to help you identify me. Also, you can check out the volunteer page to see what I look like so you can be doubly sure to spot me.

Notes:
There is no registration fee to join this Walk. Participants are encouraged to raise funds. I am hoping all team members will at least sponsor themselves for whatever amount they can afford even if they choose not to fundraise.
