Itinerary:
The snow is still here but it's time to get in shape for Spring, so come on out for some stair climbing in the river valley. Stair climbing is a great way to burn calories and condition your heart, lungs and legs. We'll be meeting in the gravel parking lot near the Royal Glenora Club at 5:15 p.m for registration and introductions. We'll start the event at 5:30 p.m. beginning with a 5 minute group warm-up and stretch. Then we will climb the stairs for approximately 15 mins for the first hike/stair climb (and increasing in time as the hikes occur) in a series of conditioning events. The stairs at Glenora are a favorite among stair climbers in the city because they are challenging, wide and offer a great view of the river valley, not to mention all of the other "eye candy". How's that for carrot dangling?? Lots of clubs workout there doing Bootcamps etc. You'll be free to move at your own pace and take breaks as often as needed. After 15 mins (or increased designated time) or when everyone has done all they can, we will head into the River Valley for a hike (an additional 1.5 - 2 hours) where we will encounter more stairs and some nice hills to hike. You will be invited to take part in a cool down stretch at the end of the hike.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT WILL HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE UNLESS THERE IS AN EXTREME WEATHER WARNING. IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND PLEASE WITHDRAW YOUR NAME FROM THE SIGN UP LIST PRIOR TO THE REGISTRATION CUT OFF TIME TO AVOID A NO-SHOW. THANKS!!
