Itinerary:

Today we will be wandering through some of the inner trails playing Disc golf.

Disc golf is very similar to regular golf. Instead of using golf clubs and balls aiming for a hole, Disc Golf players use golf discs and aim for a target basket - a pole extending up from the ground with chains and a basket where the disc lands. The object of the game is to complete each hole in the fewest number of throws, starting from a tee area and finishing at the basket. The player with the lowest score wins.

Here at the SWC, they have a 9 hole course. Click here for more info.

After we finish the Disc golf, we will have an option of hiking 5-7km (~1.5-2 hrs) depending on how long it takes us to finish 9 holes and how everyone is feeling afterwards.

We will be leaving the carpool at 10:30 AM and starting the event at approximately 11:15 AM. We expect the event duration to be approximately About 4-6 hours, and we should be back/finished by 5:00 PM at the latest back at the carpool location.

Just a little bit about the SWC: Situated on 550 acres of parkland next to the beautiful shores of Bennett Lake, the Strathcona Wilderness Centre offers 12km of trails through woodland, meadow and lakeshore terrain.

**PLEASE NOTE FOR CARPOOL PEOPLE:**
- Please show up no later than 10:30am so that we can sort out the carpooling and hopefully leave Bonnie Doon by 10:45am sharp!
- If you decide to meet at the event rather than the carpool location, you MUST let me know ahead of time.

For those meeting at the event, we will start around 11:15am.
