Itinerary:
The Edmonton International Film Festival is on from September 24th to October 2nd.

We will see "Everybody's Couch" ("Le Divan Du Monde" - the film is in French with English subtitles). Winner of the TV5 Prize for Best Francophone Film Outside of Quebec, "Everybody's Couch" is Toronto-based director Dominic Desjardins’ musical and visually breathtaking road trip across Canada. The film follows Zoé, (Mélanie LeBlanc) a young Acadian woman heading home to her mother in PEI after a failed relationship on the west coast. Alex (Antoine Gratton), the first person who offers her a couch to sleep on, joins Zoé as they travel from one city to the next, learning to trust each other and giving new meaning to each other’s lives. As the couple stops in various provinces, we're exposed to their burgeoning relationship and their interactions with people across the country. Enlightening, fun, and heartwarming, 'Everybody's Couch' humourously highlights the differences between French and English, male and female, and young and old, while showing how similar we truly are underneath it all.

You can catch the trailer for "Everybody's Couch" here.

Notes regarding tickets: Ticket priority for the Edmonton International Film Festival is given to festival passholders. I plan to purchase one or two 6-packs of tickets in advance, which will give us passholder access. I will meet everyone outside the theatre at 4:30, where you will be able to purchase a pass from me at cost. We will be entering the theatre by 4:45 at the latest. If you haven't shown up by then, you will be responsible for purchasing your own (single admission) ticket from the box office. Single admission tickets are more expensive and may or may not be available - so try to avoid coming late! If you have already purchased a festival pass or 6-pack and will not need to purchase a ticket in advance from me please let me know!
