Itinerary:

The Edmonton Outdoor Club's Dragon Boat Team, The EOC Lightning Boats, is attending the Leduc Big Boat Regatta. The boat is not full and this is a chance to try out Dragon Boat racing or renew some interest if you are experienced.

The Big Boat Regatta features Dragon Boats, outrigger canoes and 8-man rowing shells. You may have a chance to try out some of these new boating experiences.

We will be holding three practices on the North Sask. River and 2 more on Telford Lake in Leduc. You will be notified of times and dates once you are registered and accepted.

Guests are welcome at this event. However, if you intend to bring an adult guest, please have them register for membership in the EOC since it is free.

For the carpoolers: Please arrive by 8am sharp at the south parking Lot at the Southgate Mall near the entrance to the Bay.

**You cannot pay on line, please phone Wes/Larry for more info. Your dues will be collected at your first Practice and are non-refundable.**

Required Items to Bring:
Clothing that can get wet, including shoes.
Lifejackets and paddles are provided
Lunch or money for concessions
Money for car pool if you are participating
Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.
Lawn chair and/or tent
Sunscreen/mosquito repellent
Water bottle

Carpool Cost: The event coordinator(s) will help you to arrange a centralized carpool if you require it, but it's not guaranteed. Please DO NOT pay your driver en route. Passengers will pay the coordinator, and he/she will distribute the money to the carpool drivers. SO PLEASE BRING CASH!!! Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $16.82 (calculated at total Km * $0.29, effective Monday, April 29, 2024). This is based on $0.09/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divided by 9. This cost will be multiplied by the number of carpooled cars, and divided by the number of carpool participants.
