Itinerary:

Due to the distance involved--strong beginners/intermediates only please.

The weather is forecast to be perfect for rollerblading on Wednesday night. We plan on touring 3 neighborhoods that have great views of the river valley: Old Glenora, East Crestwood and Valleyview.
We'll meet in the Kinsmen Fieldhouse parking lot (look for the ugly blue Ford Ranger), where we will begin our journey along River Road bike trail. We'll continue up McKinnon Ravine, walk up a series of tough stairs up to St. Georges Cres. We'll then do a scenic neighborhood circuit in Glenora and then blade over to East Crestwood where we'll do another neighborhood tour. We'll continue southward to Valleyview Drive, stop for a well-deserved rest and chat, then make our way home down McKinnon Ravine. Feel free to join me at Starbucks afterwards.

Note 2 things:
1. The stairs up to St. Georges Cres is challenging on rollerblades. Feel free to bring a change of shoes to walk up or you can do like me and just tough it out hand-over-hand on the wooden rails.
2. The descent down McKinnon Ravine from 142 Street is quite steep and also challenging if you're not experienced. You will have the option to walk down this steep part along the grass or to blade down while in control. Don't worry, we'll wait for you!
