Forest Heights to Walterdale Bridge “Loop” (7/7/2010)

Itinerary:

We will meet at the rear of the parking lot (closest to the trails) for McNally High School, 8440 105 Avenue, at 6.00pm for a 6.15pm departure.

The hike will head west along the south side of the River Valley as far as the Walterdale Bridge where we will cross the river to the north side. We will then continue along the north side of the river and cross the Cloverdale Foot Bridge to return to the south side of the river, before returning to the start point.

Note that there is a fairly steep hill between Forest Heights Park and Cloverdale, which we will be climbing up on the return leg!

For anyone who is interested, we can go for drinks after the hike if desired.

Required Items to Bring:
Suitable footwear and clothing for the prevailing weather (please keep an eye on the weather forecast prior to the event).

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Meet at the rear of the parking lot (furthest away from 84 Street).
(Please note that the Dawson Bridge is closed to pedestrians, cyclists and all vehicular traffic including buses until late 2010).
