Itinerary:

Evenings are getting longer and backpacking season is getting closer. Come out and get a workout with a brisk river valley walk and optional stair drills. I'll bring my weighed down backpack for extra resistance, and you are welcome to bring yours too!

We will meet at 6:15pm near the picnic shelter west of the pedestrian bridge in Capilano Park for a 6:30pm departure. We'll head west with a climb up a paved trail, then descend into the valley on a dirt path, where we'll keep going up and down some hills as we approach Capilano Bridge. We'll stop at the stairs where those willing can do some stair exercises, and those not can rest and enjoy a view of downtown as the sun sets. Before it gets dark we will cross Capilano Bridge, and make our way back on the north side of the river to the Capilano foot bridge, where we'll cross back to our starting point.

We'll maintain a quick pace over the 4 km + stairs distance.

Afterwards we will head to Boston Pizza at Capilano Mall for food and refreshments.
