The weather forecast was very promising: hot, sunny and clear. Unfortunately the full moon and the clouds that rolled in mostly blocked our view of the skies. (Jason, Erin and I stayed around through Saturday night. And not to rub it in, but the skies on Saturday were completely clear! Some fellow campers set up a telescope and looked at planets. If only that could have been the story on Friday ... :) )
Even still, although the stargazing wasn't outstanding, a few of us sat on Astotin Beach until 2 AM, gazing at the skies and engaging each other in deep conversation. All in all, it was an excellent night of camping!
